I honestly dont know why the CHECK ENGINE light is on.. I have to check that. BUt all i know is that its has a V2 AEM INTAKE . And the CLutch Relase bearing needs to be changed. But i think im just going to switch the clutch to stage 1.

Pull that CEL code, that is likely going to tell you what is happening.

I believe VTEC wont engage when you have a CEL. Pull the CEL, fix the problem, and you should have no problems afterwards.

Incorrect if the Cel is not either code 21 or 22 and depending on the ecu sometimes code 17 as well vtec will still engage. As you can clearly see vtec was working fine in his video just had a cutoff issue.

Check your oil level and pull the cel to see what other problems you are having that could be related to it cutting off.

then add oil. the motor wint rev high cause vtec is based on oil pressure and when your oil is low it wont enguage which is putting your car in limp mode. your lucky you havnt spun a rod bearing yet. does the engine seem to be knocking? make a vid of the engine running in the engine bay and rev it up a tad.

OK AND ABOUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.. THIS IS WHAT CAME UP -

CODE P1382 -Cylinder Position Sensor No Signal

&

CODE P1259 -VTEC System Malfunction..

BUT VTEC KICK-IN ???

(PLUS FOUND OUT I HAVE A BROKEN HEAD GASKET THATS WHY THE OIL LEAKS)

ANY GOOD SUGGESTIONS ON A GOOD BRAND TO BUY FOR HEADGASKET.

Low oil pressure won't cause this...low oil pressure won't allow vtec to engage..not stop it at 6500 rpm.....but first check the codes.it canbe a million things....that cel will tell u a lot...Are u losing antifreeze also.?alot of Honda motors seep oil through the head gasket..doesn't mean it's blown.......I like to halomar the gasket.its like a copper spray?.cl position code.. Sounds like bad ckps ....I believe that is build into the module in distributor...your ckps code is probably intermittent

From what i know when i bought the car the last owner said he replaced a Cylinder .. it was bad.. from the obd machine. it did say cylinder mis-fire.. but after the reset was done it was gone just the last two codes i posted.. the reason that i say the gasket . is because my uncle is a professional mechanic.. and he told me its only leaking on one side.. but idk.. The images i uploaded are from were i can see were the oil is..

Motor sounds healthy. Oil is coming from the valve cover gasket in the pic. most times it is not the head gasket that is leaking. It is usually the VTEC solenoid gaskets, cam seal, distributor oring, or a combination of the three. To me though, that is the valve cover gasket leaking. Have you checked to see if there is water in the spark plug chases. Are you sure its not crank position sensor? If it is calendar position sensor it is time for a new distributor from what I have read.

Yeah i sent him a massive pm on how to replace the gaskets mentioned haha. I want him to first add oil to proper mark on the dipstick and then reset the ecu and hook it back up and go drive the car and see if it revs past 6300. Now if that doesnt work i would try a known good b series dizzy and that should do the trick. Keep me updated bro i work at honda and can get you employee discount.
