whining sound coming from engine
I dont know how long this has been going on but just recently I turned off my radio and I started hearing a high pitched whining sound coming from the engine behind the reving sound. It's somewhat faint and lower RPMS (like 2500 and below) and gets louder as I step on the gas (most noticably at 4000 and above) . I really dont know if this is normal or not. Everything is stock.

Re: whining sound coming from engine (VoltageBlue01)
Sounds like a loose altenator belt to me, I had a similar whine. Turn on your AC while idleing and see if it gets worse.
Run a search for that, this has been addressed a number of times.

there should be no whining sound from a stock engine, it could be a worn belt or possibly a bad bearing in either the alternator or power steering pump. Can you figure out where abouts in the engine bay its coming from?
