What are the warning signs that you're water pump is going?
Someone mentioned that the squealing sound i hear only when i start my car up could be from water on my belts or the bearings in my water pump are going . Can anyone confirm this?

I know when mine was going out it started to drip coolant out of it. I think the part is leaked out of is called the weep hole. Anyway sounds to me like you should check your belt tension or see if a replacement belt is needed. Couldn't hurt to just change out all of the belts and the water pump though, there not expensive at all.

yes if it is going out, your coolant level will be low. If its low in the overflow tank, try filling it..if it gets low again its leaking somewhere.
Like my dad's civic, its leaking from there. when i fill up the coolant tank to max, it just goes beyond the min point after a couple of weeks.
