Oh i see. Just the concept of doing aftermarket rods/pistons and ect is known as "forged". For some reason I was thinking they coated the inside linings of the engine with a certain metal that was hard and able to take on more compression. Like when forging a metal sword with a harder substance to make it better (Diablo 2 stuff).

Something that is "aftermarket" isn't necessarily "forged." Forged is a way of machining steel/cast iron/aluminum that increases its strength and resistance to heat. Forged internals are less likely to break and/or heat up and warp.

Some stock engines have forged internals from the factory. Most aftermarket pistons/cranks/rods are forged because they are meant to handle more strenuous conditions.

That is exactly right, forging the metal increases its strength .
