Weird Brake booster Q
I used seafoam recently and this is not a question about that.
After disconnecting the line from the booster to the IM and then reconnecting after i was done, is there any chance I damage the booster byn exposing it to atmosphere or jsut leaving it unpluged while the car was on?
I hit the brake and 90% of the time its perfect but then sometimes the pedal goes almost to the floor before i have any brake pressure?
my rear brakes are shot and i have had the abs light come on 2wice but that was when i started the car up. i shut it off and restarted and didnt have a problem.
This its the ABS, rear brakes or booster?

most likely your brake master cylinder is going out!
mine started like that and now its getting worse!
but you did say, this start happening when you used seafoam and disconnect the hose, so it could be something else.
just letting you know, my one cent!!

Re: Weird Brake booster Q (stareatsun)
first thing to do is replace the rear shoes and go from there. almost seems like moisture in the fluid. does the peddal do this after the breaks are hot ? when was the last time you replaced the fluid?

Re: Weird Brake booster Q (stareatsun)
forget about the break fluid unless you have never changed it. I believe your problem is your master cylinder. the 10% of the time your peddal goes to the floor the master is bypassing the front breaks and is stopping with only the rears, that is why the rears are so worn. Change your master.
