VTEC stays on below 4400 rpm: should i worry or is this normal
on my Fields VTEC controller, the Hi Cam led lights up when VTEC is engaged...i've noticed that when i back off the throttle and let the rpms fall, the led is still lit up once i go below 4400 rpm until maybe 4100 to 3900 rpm the led turns off.....is this normal or is something going wrong?
i'm going to raise the VTEC point to about 5200 rpm and see if the same thing occurs

Yeah, that's normal. The VTEC doesn't turn off the same point that it turns on. Usually, the VTEC turns off lower than the engaugement.

Re: VTEC stays on below 4400 rpm: should i worry or is this normal (TRuST)
the ECU actually will shut it off at 4400 and turn it on at 4400 from what i'm seen when watching it on my VAFC but the controllers wont let you do that. On my car 4400 activates and 4300 deactivates. Most likly sombody didnt get your controller's low cam setting correctly. If you more the hi cam to 5200 it will do the same thing. You need to adjust the low cam setting.
