Default Viper Alarm Sensitivity

I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the viper alarm systems less sensitive. I just found out that my car alarm goes off everytime this person drives by at 10:00 am every morning. If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated. I am not even sure of the model of the alarm since i bought the car with it already installed and also have searched the topic and do not have the manual for the alarm. thx

i have the viper 791xv, and to my knowledge, you can't adjust the sensitivity weather it being less or more sensitive. i believe the clifford alarms you can do that, but then again, that's just what i've been told.

Theres usually a little **** in your steering column or something that they have that you can twist with a flathead and itll adjust it, one way is more sensitive one is less...my advice tho is RTFM :/

First you need tho find the shock sencer. Most of the time its mounted to the steering colume. It should have a green-red-blue-black wires running into it. If it a viper alarm its a clear plastic box with a single red light. Find the lil orange **** on the side of it and turn it counter clock wise. This will turn down the sensetivity of it.

If its the entry level viper alarm the shock sencer is in the brain of the alarm so you would have to find the brain and adjust the black little ****

my sister has a viper with the two way (i dunno if u have it) on her 05 civic. She adjusted it by holding the aux and either lock or unlock. Hold both of them the same time for like 4-6 secs and the 2way will beep and u can adjust the sensitivity level by pressing the lock or unlock. If u have the manual, it'll tell how to do it.

the install/user manual never said anything about adjusting the sensitivity.
