trying to get my heat working.
so my heat doesnt work. i change the thermostat despite my car running at normal temp and heat still doesnt work. i changed my climate control and i made sure the water assembly valve is open. would air in the system cause my heat to fail? any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

Have you recently changed the heater core, or did a flush of the coolant system? If so, it takes some driving to push fluid into the core since it sits in there upside down.
If not, I would have to say that you are either leaking coolant somewhere or possible have a bag hg which is pushing air into the core.

Yeah, do you hear a fan turn on when you put on the heat? If not its your blower motor. I had the same problem with my old Integra.
If when you turn on the heat, the fan comes on, but some of the speeds dont work, then its your blower motor resistor.
Real easy fixes, at least they were on my old DA.

you said it takes some driving, what about just idling for a long time. i recently replaced my climate control unit and valve because the control unit was broke and the guy that did the swap didnt have the vavle hooked up. after installing i let the car idle for about half an hour and no heat. it never blew heat and it hasnt been driven yet.

you assumed correctly lol, the blower is fine, the speeds are fine. i changed thermostat, bled the system and filled it up. every hose is hot after the car reaches operating temp. i dont think its the heater core because theres no coolant smell in the car. im running out of ideas!

if u were referring to me then yea the valve arm is connected. i actually had to go get one from the junk yard because the guy who had the car took it off and also dented the outlet and inlet of the core. i manage to get a snug fit after a couple tries to stop outside leaking but either its still leaking and i cant see it or the core is busted. regardless, i bought a whole heater box with core for $60 shipping included on ebay today. saves me a trip to the junk yard i guess. prolly coulda gotten it a little cheap from the yard though. o well.

thank you everyone for the posts. after searching some more i read about the lever system behind the climate control thatopen a door allowing the air from around hte heater core to flow into the cabin, so i unstuck the levers and that solved everything. heat is working! and just in time.
