Thinking of experimenting with a different crank and rods in my GSR anybody have any experiences with LS or B16 stuff? maybe type R stuff?

Im doing a rebuild because the motor smokes so dont tell me im wasting my time and money

Or any other power ideas let me know...

Is your GSR currently stock other than the turbo?

Lower the compression of pistons, forged rods, head work, cams, retainers, valves, 3inch exhaust (your sig just says exhaust), etc. All those will net you more power. Oh and then get a re-tune.

i will no doubt say that your smoking was caused due to the lack of a good tune. but as Rikter has stated, you will want to do those things in order to make more power. what is your goal exactly? how much power do you want to make? and idk what you have for suspension, but you will want to get more power to the ground otherwise your power is useless.

First of all this is a build on a different car. Its a 96 gsr original motor everything matching up. It smokes because it has 230k on it lol. Im going to rebuild it and boost it. But for now im trying to see if i can use internals from other cars to make a power difference. saves money
