Trying to fix an oil leak
I have a B18C1 that has started to leak oil. I can see it all around the front of the engine and around/under the distributor and vtec solenoid. Im going to replace the valve cover gasket, distributor o-ring, exhaust cam seal (S2 triple o-ring) and vtec solenoid gasket. As far as the vtec solenoid gasket goes, I dont know which to order. I see one labled upper vtec solenoid gasket and one vtec solenoid gasket with filter. Which one or both? The only distributor oring i found was for a 92-2000 1.5L/1.6L. Will this still work? Any other suggestions are welcome.

Man don't go through eBay for all that stuff. You can get all those parts for $45 + shipping from Carland Acura www.acuraautomotiveparts.org Or for $70 + shipping you can get everything plus the 8 washer gaskets for the valve cover bolts (the kit includes the valve cover gasket, plug tube gaskets, and the cover bolt gaskets).
But yes get both VTEC solenoid gaskets. And also order the exhaust cam end plug from a 98+ GS-R. It's plastic, with o-rings, and will never leak like the old style rubber plugs. And it only costs 5 bucks.
But seriously, $5 for that distributor o-ring? It's $1.41 for the correct B18C1 distributor from Carland.

Re: Trying to fix an oil leak
I replaced my leaky rubber plug with the revised plastic one 8 years ago. I replaced it again last year doing the same thing you're doing (chasing an oil leak) but I know that wasn't the part that was leaking. So I could still be using the plug I installed in 2003 and I'm 99.9% sure it still would not be leaking today. That's pretty good for a $5 part.
I also apply a thin layer of Hondabond (Permatex Ultra Gray sealant) around it before installing.
