Default Transmission Netural Sensor

Is there a sensor on the transmission (GSR tranny) that sends a signal when it is in neutral?

No...there is a neutral switch in the auto tranny to tell the pcm that the gear selection is at neutral. There's an starter interlock switch in the manual tranny and a gear selection interlock switch for the auto.

your correct, thats where i am going with this. I am designing a circuit that needs a specific shut down procedure and wuill deactivate if a door is ever opened or unlocked before the car is started again. This is so it will nto start in gear... It will be pretty safe when i am done with it...

remote starters made for manuals have this function.
or did you buy a remote starter for auto and try to put on a manual car?

i did here something about that. Who makes ones that are for manual. I was having a hard time finding one that was like $100 bucks, so i figured i would get a cheap one (bulldog) for $50 bucks and design the safety circuit. Also, the ones that do have a safety function built in, do they have an AUX in so you can use an extra channel from an existing alarm?
