Default throw out bearing

was i supposed to lube my throw out bearing? because i just installed a new clutch and i forgot to lube the throw out bearing and now when i let go of the clutch sometimes it makes a tiny squeaky sound. Whats the worse that could happen???

pre-mature wear on the bearing, possibly stick during shifts...
but chances are you'll burn out the clutch before the bearing becomes a problem..

did you use an oem metal bearing or the plastic style that comes with after market clutches???

well i have mild built gsr engine in my civic swapped and i used a act 4 puck so i assume the throw out bearing was plastic, im not too sure.

did you replace the bearing with an oem, did you install the ACT bearing, or did you reuse the bearing that was in there with the old clutch?

i used the ACT bearing.

It's always ideal to put a little grease on any TOB before they go in, but every bearing i've ever had OEM and other throw out bearings are sealed units.. I'd reccomend using OEM nachi b/c any time i haven't i've had problems with them being noisy. (for example the one that came with my XTD clutch kit)
