Terrible Dyno Numbers
I own a 2001 ls integra. 2000 gsr head PnP with the 2000 gsr transmision. Block is still the original ls, with je pistons and eagle rods, 9.5:1 compression. I have a modified rev hard turbo kit with the t3/teo4 garret turbo, with the 57 trim and .63 a/r. Tuned with hondata s200. Im still using the terrible cast log style manifold but im running around 17-18 psi.
Anyway, today i dynoed my car at school on a "mustang dyno" and made 297 whp with 237 wtq. I was running very rich at 10:1. But would running this rich cause for such low numbers? Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Don't mustang dynos read lower than others? Not say that is the answer, but it could have a little to do with the overall number.

Re: Terrible Dyno Numbers (Gerbilo)
The dyno I use is a mustang dyno.
I put down 124 whp on a b16 and then ran a 15.5 1/4 mile at 3700 feet above sea level so corrected it would be a rough 15.0 at sea level.
I think mustang dyno's read a little low also.
Weigh your car, make a 1/4 mile pass and you can calculate HP to a certain extent. It won't be totally accurate due to 60' times and all.

Man U FTW
Mustang dynos do read low, but even after a correction factor of 10%, you're still looking at some pretty low numbers....i think your AF's have a lot to do with it...also if your tuner didn't mess with ignition, you lost some power there

Re: (Schister66)
yeah i have heard that also about the dynos at my school, Dont you have to calibrate the weight of the car or something on these such dynos? But i know that pushing this much boost with this set up i would expect numbers close to 400.
But driving the car again today it does seam noticeably slowly, and seams to be spitting uptop, cant tell if its premature ignition or running so rich. Any ideas?
Compression is 185-190 all across on a warm motor with 5 cranks.

I would have it dyno tuned again with the s200. With that amount of boost I would think that you would at least be in the 350hp range. were you running at 10:1 at WOT? If so then definately mess with timing first and then check your a/f ratios. Your power is primarily made off of timing. After you have your timing down, start fine tuning your fuel curve. Good luck.

gasoline engine require AF be right on dot to make good power. 10 to 1 is very rich and i think it will do more harm than good

Re: Terrible Dyno Numbers (spoon_ek9)
Yeah i understand that. It running 10:1 was not by choice, it was just what it was running during the run. Im going to try to get the tuning issues fixed out soon and throw it on again. The car was tuned by jeff evans at 14.7 psi and made 372 on his dyno jet.
But yeah i definitly need to check where my timing is it. Im not sure if its off or not though, thats the rerason for this thread. I cant thing of anything besides the fuel and timing that would make it produce such low numbers with perfect compression
