tail light value
why are 94-97 tails worth less then 98-01, all i have to do is paint the orange red and no one would be able to tell the difference.

Re: tail light value
I can sure tell the difference when some one paints the amber part red...because I've done it before and it just didn't look that good. It looks great if you do it the right way, but it doesn't last long or retain its gloss like the rest of the plastic. 85% of the ones I've seen painted looked like CHIT! (faded, dull, too many coats of paint, etc) People just think the all red 98+ tail lights are just cleaner...thus, more of a demand, reasoning why asking prices are much more than 94-97 tail lights.

Re: tail light value
I agree with "iH8RICERZ" 94-97 Tails aren't 98-01 Tails...you can paint them, but that doesn't make it 98-01...it's the same thing with every other part...just because a 94 has 98 bumpers, doesn't make it a 98. If you were a consumer, what would you buy--"painted 94-97 tail lights" or "98-01 tail lights"...

http://www.leftlanenews.com/nhtsa-co...l-mandate.html this is why i changed myn to amber, my auto teacher in high school also praised amber turn signals for the simple reason that its easier to see, small black car is hard enough to see at night let alone the countless horrible drivers on the road.

Re: tail light value
You can think about it anyway you want but simply put, the all red 98-01 tails are worth more because more people demand it in the market. Sure there are some people who prefer the amber tails, but a majority of other people are after the all red tail lights. And sellers are selling it for much more because they know that there are desperate people who are willing to buy it for much more. Its supply and demand.

Re: tail light value
As other people have stated it is just because more people want all red... Nothing else. Personally I like the amber turn signals.
