Default tach issue on a 98 integra

well i just put a GSR motor in my 98 integra and the tach doesnt work (i bought the car with no motor/trans, i looked in my Haynes manual but couldnt find pin positions or wire coloring for the tach wire at the ECU or the Gauge cluster ( i tryed a different ecu and cluster already so i know thats not the cause here, i had a old autometer tach and tested it under the hood with the blue wire in the test connector on the drivers side and i have tach signal there. Someone had a AFC in the car at some point so im assuming im issue is somewhere in the mess of wires at the ECU im guessing a pin was broke off or something was cut... not sure but yea if anyone can provide me with the pin position and wire color for tach at the ECU that would be awesome!! EVERYTHING else in the car works perfect so im ruling out a grounding issue in the dash for now, but as always any info or opion would be cool

Thanx Tony

First of all, determine if the wire is broken b4 the ecu or after. If the ecu isn't gettinga tach signal it shouldn't be engaging Vtec and u should have an early rev limit. Find out what wire is going from the ignitor to the ECU, there should only be 1 and I think that's the tach signal wire.

If it isn't the cluster it could be the ICM, take off the dizzy and replace it if the cluster isn't bad.
