man, that happened to me not to long ago, i work at a Best Buy here in town, 2 o clock in the after noon, alarm starts going off, i park not 10 yds from the front doors, stole my backpack and my deck...the worst feeling i have ever felt..

Just a word of advice, never bump your system while your pulling up in a parking lot/parking garage, party, etc. As soon as you leave your car and go inside or go wherever, everyone who heard you will know you got something worth stealing in that car.
Same thing happen to me, except I think the theives wanted my car...BUT, they couldnt break my auto lock off so they just stole everything they could from the inside!

i wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it's someone that knew you. That's just going to eat you up inside. What's more likely is that it was premeditated and thought out. Thieves usually "case" a theft for a while. They will watch you, scope out your system. They most likely didn't steal your whole car because it's a 2nd gen automatic. But for the system, they'll watch what you do when you get out of the car, (i.e. take a faceplate off and stick it somewhere). And they'll see what you've got exactly.
Most thieves carry a small tool kit with all their necessities.
My OEM lip kit was stolen in a movie theatre parking lot, and i had tamper proof Torque screws holding it on, so they must of had one of those bits.

ya ya.. true... not jsut the stereo, but my subs and amps...
now since i went back to school today ( didnt go yesterday ) people come up to me and tell me more and more people's stuff are getting taken... so now i have an idea that could jsut be a couple of dicks in the area ****** with **** !!
