Squeaking sound coming from(under?) block at idle. Anyone know?
Sup
For about a month now I've had this squeaking noise coming from the middle of the engine bay when my car is idling. The noise changes/goes away when I put the clutch in.
It's not coming from the belts. I sprayed belt dressing on them and it had no effect on the noise.
Any help would be appreciated.

My car does the exact same thing... I was thinking it's my throwout bearing, but i'm too lazy and don't have the time to just pull my tranny for fun... Bump for some answers...

Sounds like its the release bearing since its a manual tranny, and since you say the sound goes away when the clutch is is pushed in.
