Default still having vtec problem, can anyone help

just wondering, should oil always come out of the vtec pressure switch everytime you take it out? sometimes mine does and sometimes it doesnt. so wtf? also is there a ground for this switch, and if so, where is it and if its caroded can that be the problem? keep throwing map sencer , and Evaporative Emission Control System insufficient purge flow code keep falting.

so pretty much so, the car doesnt engage into vtec, and gets horable gas milage, (had half tank b4 i left work, drove 15 miles, and low fuel light came on)

tryed searching numerous times to cure problems for months now, any suggestions, or tips.

P.S. please dont BS on here like, get another car, or something dumb like that. so please only those who think the can help

Try using a different MAP sensor and see if that helps.

not to be a dick but how do you know exactly what the previous owner has done or fixed on your teg. find a friend with another teg and try there map sensor. worth a try to get a fix. good luck man. Mike.

you need to test the purge solenoid..do you have any kinda of shop manual laying around?

also this MAP sensor, what is the actual code say and where did you get this code pulled at? or did you do it yourself?

PURPOSE
The Engine Control Module (ECM) uses the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor signal to sense engine load so that ignition timing and fuel delivery can be adjusted to maintain consistent engine performance

OPERATION
The ECM supplies a 5 volt signal and a ground to the sensor. A vacuum line supplies intake manifold vacuum to a small cavity under the silicon diaphragm which causes the diaphragm to flex. The flexing of the silicon generates a small voltage which is amplified by the support circuitry and used to modify the fixed 5 volt signal supplied by the ECM. The modified signal is then returned to ECM.

125 mm Hg (5 in. Hg) 2.5 Volts
250 mm Hg (10 in. Hg) 2.0 Volts
375 mm Hg (15 in. Hg) 1.5 Volts
500 mm Hg (20 in. Hg) 1.0 Volts
625 mm Hg (25 in. Hg) 0.5 Volts

i can give you a flow chart but i need the yr of your integra

is your vtec wired up correcty???

So some pictures.

Have you try to connect a positive wire from the battery to the Vtec solinoid. If it clicks it works.

Also, the vtec oil pressure sensor , the black on is the ground and the blue one connects to

OK, the car is a BONE STOCK INTEGRA GSR. it came with vtec, b18c, so yea the vtec silonoid/senser hasnt been touched. b4 i changed my oil i took out the vtec senser and oil spilled out, after the change and a few miles later i took it out and now oil isnt spilling out. so now i'm really stumped. if u have any futher ideas plz let me know, we r rewiring my car this weekend if i cant figure it out.

are you losing oil? is it possible a return line is leaking...or clogged or walked off even...check that stuff out...my car is currently going thru a "i hate v-tec" fit as well in my 92 gsr...however i think i pinned it to bad oil and shitty plugs...slightly easier then urs buddy...have u thought of possibly taking it to honda/acura/a tuner shop out by u...maybe they would find soemthing u wouldnt think of....might cost money...but its a possibility.
