so, my battery is almost dead... original battery
it's the original ACURA branded battery. somehow it's lasted 9 years (the car is a 97
)and in the two and a half years that i've had the car, it's never failed me. lately though, the car is really doing some weird things which i think i've narrowed down to the batt.
i'm going to replace it today.
anyone else have a part of thier G3 last an unusually long time?

I did a lot of shopping for batteries for my Integra recently. Most prices ranged from $55 to $110. I bought a battery for $37 at Costco, their Kirkland house brand (made by Johnson Controls, a top battery maker with an excellent reputation), and it came with a 100-month warranty.

My acura battery just died after I left my car sitting for a week while I was on vacation. 11 years, 170k miles.

im not sure how old mine is but it as least 6 yrs old..its been in the car since i bought it. its not an acura one though, so i know it was replaced at least once before i bought the car. years ago my dad had one in his '86 mercury for 10 yrs and replaced it because he was worried it would die on him soon. sometimes you just get lucky and get a long lasting battery.

if you go with an optima battery it is the D51R model
I need to find a good reliable one, i bought my car in november, battery died in december, replaced it and now the other battery is dead as well
neither will hold a charge anymore
