Default Rpm bounces between 1200-1500rpm when gas pedal is pressed slightly

As the title says, i give it like enough throttle to get it up to 1200 and then it starts to bounce back and forth from 1200-1500rpm. Any ideas? Tps reads .47v at idle and 4.48v at wot. The readings climb up slowly with no spikes when i was testing it.

Details, obd1 ls vtec

You seem to be desperate so I'll offer this info. My '91 Acrura Integra rpm bounces up and down also, especially after the initial high-rpm idle after start-up. My mechanic "tries some things" whenever I take it in, but he says he'll probably need to replace the throttle body.

I'm thinking there's some faulty temp sensor related to the throttle, but I'm no expert.

I wish I could give you more info. Perhaps just sympathy...

Good luck.

Tamboo, i bought a new tps and it still does it. Ahrzee i use rtv red high temp silicon for the throttle body gasket because autozone didnt have any. I checked for vacuum leaks around the tb and its fine. Any other things i should try?

the felpro gasket should cost you about $5 on ebay.
what brand of tps is it? blox and brand x were both bad out of the box for me.
dorman is what finally worked right. torque it down good with bolts not screws.

Does the power break up during the rpm spike? or is it just they rpm needle jumping at that rpm with no effect on performance?

RTV is no good get right gasket from the dealer I never not use Honda gaskets simple for these reasons!!
Did you Calibrate TPS after install? if not do so to Spec
pins 1&2 = 0.5-0.9ohms
pins 2&3 = 3.6-5.4ohms, this is with sensor TPS disconnected and ignition off.
Also Check Voltage on TPS plug with ignition on and sensor connected,
pins 1&3 = 0.5volts with throttle closed/ 4.5volt wide open throttle.
Test IACV/EACV...
Replace Throttle gasket ASAP order from dealer period!!!
