Replaced Timing Belt - Car won't Idle
I was lucky enough to search yesterday and was able to find a few ideas to try, including:
* Check ground connections
* Check plugs and wires
* Check for spark
* Adjust distributer timing (which way to try first? retard it more?)
Now the search is down, and I need more info!
I replaced a B18B1 timing belt, and now I can't get the car to idle. It turns over a few times, starts to idle, then dies. After which I can't get it to fire... I pulled the plugs, waited a few hours and tried again only to get the same result.
I was very careful when timing the cams and crank. After the car didn't start the first time, I assumed the belt had slipped a tooth during the crank pulley bolt tightening. That doesn't seem to be the case though; when the TDC mark on the CPulley is lined up, my cams are aligned properly as well...Even if the belt was off a tooth, it should still run -although poorly- right?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Replaced Timing Belt - Car won't Idle (MoBlack)
Hopefully this helps someone in the future who searches.
I'm not getting spark on #4, so looks like the distributor is the next place for me to go.
Is it possible I messed up my distributor during the timing belt change?
