Reducing interior exhaust noise

Reducing interior exhaust noise
I have a custom exhaust setup but its too damn loud for me....
Basically it boils down to what will reduce the exhaust noise the most for me the driver. Obviously inside and outside are almost the same but idk I'm thinking apexi ws2 or vibrant flat black mufflers. 300$ vs 120$ or so.
Is there a difference between the decibel output I'll hear?
engine:
jdm b18c, skunk2 intake manifold, aem cai, msd dist/wires
exhaust: 2.5 inch piping, random technologies high flow cat, resonator (dont know brand), skunk2 n1 muffler 2.5 inch

Re: Reducing interior exhaust noise
If you want a real quiet system, go with OEM
But if that isn't what your going for, you can go with a custom system with double resonators.
For you the driver, it will help if you put sound deadening material down under your carpet as well.
I have the Apexi WS2 on my GSR and it is almost too quiet for me, but it isnt my DD so i dont mind the noise when i do drive it.

Under the entire carpet? What would give more noise reduction, the muffler change or another resonator? Not going oem unless i really have to.

Re: Reducing interior exhaust noise
step 1 - line the inside of the car with edead45 or 85 and or carpet padding from home depot in key locations in the back of the car and behind the door panels/interior panels.
step 2 - magnaflow perforated core resonators
getting ready to install my exhaust which will consist of a catco 2.5" cat, 2.5" mandrel bent cat back, magnaflow 18" glasspack resonator, and dynomax superturbo muffler on the end.

Re: Reducing interior exhaust noise
As I found out the hard way, eDead 45/85 butyl sheets don't do jack for reducing interior road/exhaust noice (high frequency). The butyl is more for deadening low frequency vibrations. The eDead foam sheets is what you need for reducing high frequency noise infiltration into the cabin.

Re: Reducing interior exhaust noise
I don't know, I lined the entire floor, front to back, side to side, rear side panels, door panels, and rear bulkhead with 125 s.f. of eDead 45 several years ago, even doubled it up in some places. Yet my car is still loud as ever inside. Even my 195/55-15 tires loud as FAWK on the highway.
I really need some of the foam stuff, like really bad.
