Quick HID question, 98 integra.
i've been thinking of buying a HID kit from ebay. but integras alrdy come with stock HIDs, so how would i go about doing it? Do i remove the whole stock HID, or just simply remove the bulbs. Thanks
* srry if this has been answered before i tried searching but was still abit confused.
this is one of the kits i had in mind. comments or suggestions on another kit appreciated

integras do not come stock with HID's, they use 9006 bulbs in the low beams and 9005 bulbs in the high beams, and to answer your question its a simple swap, look for xentech HID kits on ebay for about 50-60 bucks, they are plug and play installation.

Yea i wish integras came stock with HIDs, that would make me save my 1k that i spent on my retrofit..lol.
but unfortunately, they do not. They come with PROJECTORS, which by the way, along with the front lenses, are horrible for hid output. The projectors were made for halogen bulbs, and the lines on the front lenses are made to disperse halogen light, but only cause glare and blinding effects on oncoming traffic with hids.

Re: Quick HID question, 98 integra.
well in that case, i have seen endless samples of various hid kits behind stock integra projectors, and i can truly say, they do not look bad when you are looking at the car. However, driving a car with a pnp kit is the worst feeling to me. There is too much glare, and the light scatters too much. Light is not as wide and far as i would like, so i opted for a retrofit.
every person is different, some have luck with pnp kits and dont mind the glare, etc. But for oncoming traffic, i would hate you if i saw you coming lol.

Hi,
The polarity might be different. Are you using a relay harness or are you powering the ballasts directly from your OEM headlight harness?

I have an integra also. I just bought a xentac hid kit from ebay for 50 bucks. They're 10,000k bulbs and its pretty easy to put it in. You just take out the stock bulbs and plug the hid ones in. simple and easy
