i have an automatic 94 ls. and my problem is that i cant rev over 2k rpm..cuz if i do then it will just redline and not move...it is on "Drive" too...then when i turn off my car and start it bak up agian..it starts at 1 rpm..then slowly goes down to 0..where it just shuts off.. some friends are telling me its my tranny..some are tellin me dist. some are tellin me other stuff.... PLZ HELP ME thanks!

sounds like an ignition problem to me, check the codes, check the ignition system, then check the compression

To the original poster, If I had to make a guess, I 'd say that it sounds like either an ecu problem, or a wiring problem. That does not sound like an ignition problem. there is a user on here named jim Blake, you knows his **** ( see my sig). Run the problem by him and see what he has to say about it

This is for you Mr. English Criticism, if you are trying to correct someone, then please do it right. Take a minute even talk right either.

1. my guess (an incomplete sentence, you got subject My guess, missing verb, and pv)
2. learn English (an incomplete sentence, and capitalization error, you don't have subject but your got verb. A complete sentence requires at least 1. Subject, 1. verb, and PV)

TO ORIGINAL THREAD.

1. check your spark wires for damage or leakage
2. spark plugs
3. MAP sensor
4. SIAC sensor
5. Vacuum lines
6. Distributor coil

i once, can't reved past 2.5k rpm because of my vacuum line were in the wrong location. Hope this help
