piston rings?/valve seals?
at first it smoked only when the car was idle for a long time and you press gas you would see the blueish whiteish smoke, but just today when i gas a little more there would be a big long lasting cloud of white smoke and after that the engine light is on and i have a lost of power?
Any ideas?

First things first. I would pull the CEL and see what code your throwing.
Do you notice this after a long period of the car sitting?
Like for instance.. After the car has sat overnight, first thing in the morning when you fire it up do you notice if it smokes?
Search the terms ''white smoke, blue smoke'' etc.
Lot's of results/info

hg??? white smoke is water vapor generally... if its bad enough it could potentially cause a code and loss of power as well..

yeah i can tell that my car has loss of power because it doesn't pick up as it used too.
it only smokes when i sit the car for at least a minute (ex. at a red light)
but recently its been clouds of white smoke when i drive
how do i "pull the cel"?

under the dash on the passenger side you should have 1 or 2 clips hanging by wires, one has 2 holes the other has 3. Take a paper clip or a small piece of wire and stick it into the clip with 2 holes and look at the CEL and see how many times it flashes.

if you still don't understand here you go. Even shows you the codes.

Sounds like a head gasket....One very good way of checking is to pull your oil cap, and if its the color of choclate milk, then its your head gasket...
