Default obd0-obd1 dissy conversion ?s

so I need a bseries obd1 dissy to complete my obd0-obd1 project......I hear people talk about cutting off one of the "legs" on the dissy.

1.) What dissy do I need to where I wouldnt have to cut anything?
2.) Do all obd1 dissys work for this conversion as long as they are bseries?
3.) If I got a dissy that required me to cut a leg; could I just buy a cap that doesnt have the leg?

I have a few other questions; but I think most of them will be brought up in this thread as people post. I just want this to be a clean motor; I dont want hacked up wires or things cut off to make things fit if I dont have too...

Thanks!

You can use any dist from a pre 96 USDM DOHC VTEC (GSR, B16 Del Sol). I believe that when they talk about "cutting off a leg" they are referring to the dist drive key that goes to the cam, but I may be mistaken.

Thanks!</TD></TR></TABLE>

actually what this is referring to is......if you look at the distributor there will be three legs, or whatever you want to call it....used to mount the distributor onto the head. If you are using a vtec head and want to use, lets say an ls dizzy(which is what im doing right now) then the leg thats pointing toward the vtec sol. has to be chopped off. if you buy a b-series vtec dizzy, then im sure you won't have to do this.

The VTEC distributor has the third leg closest to the solenoid in an odd position (to make room for the solenoid). If you cut off the third leg on a non-vtec dizzy, it will work fine. Ghetto, but i'm rockin it and I've had zero problems.
