NO POWER TO FUEL PUMP, STARTER, ECU, HAVE NEW MAIN RELAY, help one more time
ive posted this a few times on here but still need to find the problem
here is the setup please read carefully so u know what im workin with
1996 Integra LS
using the stock LS ecu and interior harness to the shock tower
1997 GSR b18c1 swap with 97 OBD2 p72 GSR ECU
Using a 1999 usdm GSR engine harness, wires ran seperate to the ecu for vtec silinoid, vtec Pressure swith and knock sensor, no need for IAB wiring because im using a skunk 2 intake manifold
now heres the problem after the swap
No power to the starter, no power to the ecu, no power the fuel pump, yeah yeah your thinkin new main relay, well i bought a new one still no power, your thinkin check the ecu fuse, did that and its ok, im gettin power to my ignition switch, what i was think what wires from the underhood fuse box should have constant power to them, on the underside where they go in thru the firewall, the yellow/white wire has power to the main relay, but it still isnt kickin on, i heard it tick a few times before but still nothing to the pump to prime, push the clutch down to turn it over, nothing and no power to the ecu, all my grounds look ok, I cant be missin anymore grounds cause I didnt touch any other ones, AND YES THE GROUND ON THE THERMO HOUSING IS OK!, I jumped the fuel pump from the hot wire on the main relay and it turned on ok so the ground to that seems fine, Im starting to get really frustrated here, why isnt this working, remeber 99 gsr harness hooking to a 96 LS ecu harness at the shock tower, it should match right up correct, except vtec IAB knock, my 02 sensors are not hooked up neither is my dash harness but this shouldnt cause this, just trying to rule out as much as possible, anyone have any ideas, PLEASE HELP, NEED TO GET THIS DONE!!!thanx a miillliiiioooonnn!!!!
please read then bump up!

how do you know your getting no power?
what tools are you using?
why do i have a feeling your taking a hunch on these things?
i mean, how do you know your not getting power to the fuel pump if supposedly your not getting power to the ecu?
no power to anything is something pretty major.
what is the car doing when you turn the key?
is it clicking?cranking?nothing?
Lights go on?
tell me what this car is doing when you try turning the key.

thermo ground is fine, I havnt looked into it much cause i havnt worked on my car that much, been pretty busy, but I used a test light real quick to check the wire to the fuel pump, nothing and nothing to the ecu or starter, when i turn the key i dont get anything, all my interior lights work, my headlights work along with my rear lights, it has to be something simple, i need to go get a voltmeter but havnt had time, and yes the main relay is clicking, just not sending any power out to the fuel pump or ecu, the ecu fuse is fine, was there anything i should have switched on the gsr engine harness when i plugged it into the ls harness at the shock tower, like i said my wires are ran to the ecu for the vtec noid, preassure and knock sensor, im not freakin over it, just would like to know what to look for, sorry if things are missleading, its 1:07 and im tired, thanx loud_whispers for replying, have a good night

Re: (LS_DON4500)
I figured it was the thermo ground because my friends car did the same thing because the ground wasn't in the right spot. I cant think of anything else to check at the moment

I had a simile problem however it was the ecu fuse. I went to honda and replaced the PMG-FI main relay under the dash and was informed that that was common. However, since you state that the start isn't starting you migh want to see if while you are starting the car weather or not you have power to the blue/white wire in to the relay that is supose to only be hot while you have the engine cranking not just on. Just a thought or the clutch safty switch could be bad however, that is suppose to at least let the fuel pump come on anyhow with it disengaged.
P.S. when I got my problem fixed I also, needed a distributor. Not saying related just kind of funny.
I would cheack the PMG-FI relay

you can't use a test light.
you need a multimeter.
or a voltmeter, ohmmeter and continuity tester.
and a Service Manual, also some sort of ETM or schematic.
So whatever your saying is totally useless to me if you have been using a test light this whole time. Sorry i cant help you help yourself without proper tools.

Re: (LS_DON4500)
Main relays dont click
Maybe its your starter thats clicking? Check the voltage on your battery to make sure it has a good charge of about 12.7 Volts.

well, my ecu would not turn on, i could not get the fuel pump to turn on/prime and the pgm-fi relay would not work even though it was perfect. i replaced the distributor because the signal goes there first. try it, if not return it.

Re: (integrapunk67)
my car had similar problem not too long ago, was getting frustrated thinking it might be the main realy. it ended up being the little plastic notch behind the clutch pedal that makes contact to the safety switch was broken. didn't make contact, thus car not cranking, but all interior lights/horn/and everything else coming on. it could possibly be the switch itself.
