Next gen integra???
Anyone hear anything about the next gen model? what it will look like? I read somwhere that they may use the same design of the tsx only as a two door model.

If you go by Honda press releases, the Integra officially ended its run with the DC5.
There have been rumors of a TSX coupe as an '09 model, but don't expect it to carry the Integra name, since Japan will begin consolidating its Honda dealerships (Verno...etc) and separating them into the Acura/Honda nameplate like North America, it will most likely retain the name TSX.

Why would they change Acuras into Hondas in North America if they specifically seperated them for the purpose of seperating the higher-up Acuras from the lower Hondas in the first place? BTW everybody has known that RSXs are going to be put out of production for a long long time now, which means the end of Integras.

the japanese are smart enough to identify their higher-up hondas from the lower ones... why wouldnt we be able to do it??

Re: Next gen integra??? (LFA Squad: Jimmii)
well according my district manager we (acura) will be getting 3 new models by 09/10 including a convertable 2 door TSX, the long awaited awd v10 NSX and something else that has not been released to our ears yet. possibly a v8 rwd coupe based off the new accord coupe platform. there still tossing the idea of the NSX around as far as mid engine or front engine mounted NSX . Maybe they should put the RDX motor into a 2dr TSX and up the boost from 13.5 to like 17 or 18. my personal opinion tho. personaly i never really liked the RSX. im glad its gone. but of course not the integra version accross seas.

cuz most people from this side of the world are dumb...even though many people dont classify acuras as high class luxury like a lexus, i dont think changing the models to hondas from acuras would be such a great idea

Re: Next gen integra??? (LFA Squad: Jimmii)
some people still say the rsx is the integra, which i can see to be honest. like the bastard child of a teg and a ek civic.
and integras always had the engines most sought after for swaps gsr, itr, lsvtech turbo etc etc. which the same can be said for the k20 in the rsx.
and ive never bothered to really delve deep in the matter but i wanna say im sure the rsx is the usdm integra of today they just discontinued the name.
and if im wrong i can assure you SOMEONE will set the matter streight
and until today i didnt know rsxs were soon to be discontinued. call me slow but i have other things to do. which sux cuz i just want one for a k20 civic hatch
this is off topic but the reason i want the k20
everyone has seen this though

I just want to say that the TSX is hot. The front end of that car looks sooo good. If Honda did make a coupe version, be it a new integra, or just 2 door TSX, that would be one helluva good looking car.
And, if they do, they better keep the damn HID lights in the bitch.

Its a marketing thing. You create on car but slap to different badges on them and give it a leather interior, you can charge people an extra $10,000 and they won't know any different. Manufacturers do it all the time with different products.

wow that looks like a cross between a dc5 and a new si. looks pretty concept like tho.</TD></TR></TABLE>
looks to me like the rsx with an acura rl front and enlarged civic si wheels. i think they should retire the integra nameplate for at least a few years.
the current civic si killed off the rsx so it is unlikely that honda would redo the integra with near that amount of power. it would have to be more, but not so much that it interferes with tsx, and s2000 sales.
i just dont see a market for a polished civic si right now, which is essentially what the integra always has been. acura is going upscale to play with the germans.
will there be a new crx? well that remains to be seen but the honda fit currently leads the subcompact class.

I personally was waiting for a RSX-S... but now that they are slowly dying away. I guess I will never get to buy a 0 miles RSX. I heard that it's because the SI having more at a less'er price? Nontherless I love Integras... I guess G3 are all I have left.

Re: Next gen integra???
A friend of mine recently purchased a brand new RSX and the Acura manager told us that Acura has no plans of making any kind of sport coupe (ex: Integra, RSX) and that they've decided to give their focus for speed to Honda. He also mentioned that with the exception of the NSX (because it's so highly valued) Acura will be focusing more on luxury in order to stay on top with cars such as BMW's, Lexus', and Mercedes'.
In the end it makes me sad since there won't be anything to really look forward to when buying an Acura (in terms of sporty-ness) except hopefully getting an NSX. But it also raises the value of all the Integra's and RSX's out there.
