My vtec solenoid never came with the oil pressure switch?.
I know this sounds nuts but I was looking at my vtec solenoid and even dating back to my first engine bay pics I never had the green oil pressure switch. The car ran an obd2 jdm ITR ecu and never anything else, I never had any codes even when hooked up to a scanner. The car is an 98 RS so vtec was wired in separately is it possible I took the sensor out and just forgot about it?, the thing is I look back at pics from "day one" and it's not there!!. I'm 99% sure I could hear the crossover on one of the very few times I drove it, is this possible even? I know the d-series switches are the same so worst case i'll use that.
the thing is why would I even remove it! its not something that just falls out either.

ok so this thing doesn't have the threads for the pressure switch I have a new pressure switch and it won't even work. so can I use this with an obd1 ECU???. It's just a blocked off hoe no threads or nothing!!!
do I have to buy a junk2 billet one now?

I found this can someone confirm, my harness is a 98 rs no vtec is separately wired in with no colour coding. i'm guessing just snip the plug and try both wires and see which work?>
Cliff notes:
1) Unhook battery
2) Unhook vtec solenoid plug
3) Grab the pressure sensor plug
4) Strip back wire on green/yellow wire on vtec solenoid plug
5) Strip back wire on blue wire on pressure sensor plug
6) Connect another piece of wire between the two you stripped back
7) Solder
8) Tape
9) Connect battery, turn on car.
so is he talking about connecting the single wire plug to one of the 2 wires of the pressure switch?

Re: My vtec solenoid never came with the oil pressure switch?.
Since you were running an OBD2 JDM ITR ecu with your JDM engine, you had nothing to worry about because the ecu doesn't look for a vtec pressure switch signal. Therefore, it wasn't necessary to run wiring for a pressure switch when you did your swap.
Now since you want to run an OBD1 USDM ecu, you need to purchase a USDM B-Series vtec solenoid and run wiring from the ecu to the pressure switch. You cant use your JDM Vtec Solenoid if you plan on running a USDM ecu.

The JDM VTEC heads do not come with the green oil pressure switch. I found that out when I had the same issue lol
