yes sir there is some nasty damage to the rear quarter got the car for an absolute steal...dude said motor was blown... i trailered it home with him and he got it running the next morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FIRST OFF, yes this car was a steal, second "dirty," it would have sucked having picked up a cleaner one, but it simply isn't....
so i got this car home, guy said it was "blown"
well after trading him for a dc shoes snow board i just got from my buddy for cheap cheap and ttr90 pitbike that had a broken rear shock, leaked gas from the petcock, bent shifter lever, slipping 3 speed clutchless trans and a rusted chain, low oil,taped up air box lol, worn sprockets ( sadly just replaced lol), no rear brake, and blew blue smoke after starting for the first time in months i snagged this da9 auto FTL..LOL with a title though..
the night it came home, i went out, did my deal, came home with another buddy dirty ud like this guy, he owns a mint i mean mint 97 gsx from bear big break kit to 20g turbo, him and i start fussing with the car.
it had a dead battery ( durablast to be exact!) jumped it, got a click, knew it was the starter, looked to find a cut power line to the starter under the 12mm bolt, spliced, connected, bolted down, it started..
rotten gas and all, and this is why i love hondas ...
it smoked BAD BAD BAD, then stopped... and it leaks gas..
turned it off went to bed, btw i have yet to take any daytime pics, but its not pretty and makes all of ours look like gems..
suprising the undercarriage is very very clean, has never been painted, or sprayed with a liner its the best part of the car imo besides what i need.
needless to say the next morning i go out there, start it up, drive it, it doesnt overheat, its slow, the auto trans shifts fine, but the engine has a tick, and the oil seems milky, but its not overheating ?? guy said he did a head gasket and then it died 2 days later, but im thinking bs...
looks like a new headgasket was installed, but i think he cut the power source, either way it either has a blown head gasket or the a$$ never changed the oil, because its not terrible but i cannotice theres a little coolant in the oil..
since im going back to school i wont have time to do a leakdown test, comp test, or simply drain the oil, so it will sit for the time being..
but it was cheap and has what i need!
assesment: both rear quaters are both dented and rustyyyyy... the rear hatch is wingless..so i can go wingless like planned.. although im keeping my wing just incase.
the rear hatch has minimal rust spots no extreme rot or anything, so ill be using it since there is rot under my wing on my da9..
the interior, drivers seat is ripped, dash says 149k if anyne wants it pm me..
all panels are there, except the damn hatch cover which i want!!!!!
exterior: rough rough rough, drivers door rusty.. pass door no rust just dents.
drivers side fender no rust in good shape, pass fender..garbage..
front end is in great condition, bumper cover sucks, but mines usable from my car so oh well.. hood was painted black but in good shape, and still has emissions sticker lol..
donor parts i will be keeping an using: hood/ headlights/ front core support, driver side seat belt cover, ( even though it wont be used lol..), subharness, calipers, and the rear brake arms ill be swapping, mine are nice, but these are minty.. and the steelies.
otherwise ill be parting out everything else, and cutting the shell up or rolling for scrap depending on what goes,
SO, FOR YOU GUYS THAT WANT PARTS HERES THE DEAL:
school is a week and a half away for me, so ill have till THIS FRIDAY THE 13TH to do a mini part out...
I will only be selling interior parts, small parts, but the car needs to start and roll down my hill yet before it sits not running..
i will do a full part out this summer/spring break so roughly april..

sorry to hear about the teg getting stolen, ***** sucks...if someone tries to steal my car, theyll die, and im not lying. im super compulsive when it comes to that stuff, ill sleep in the damn car locked and loaded..

CANT WAIT till march 10th rolls around, ill be on spring break for a week..the goal is to get the clutch replaced on my chevy prizm and get that darn front clip transfered over..
and more weight reduction lol

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..FINALLY SOME TIME ON HONDA TECH GUYS AND GALS..PROGRESS HAS EMERGED!!
while home for spring break 3 weeks ago, I got 4 nights and one full day to work on my da9..
ASSESING where i was, the front clip was torn to nothing, just metal..no fenders bumper cover lights hood latch/hood.. nothing but metal..
parts needed to do the clip: LOTS OF BEER
ballpeen/sludge hammer
acetaline
bottle jacks, c-clamps
a level
wood blocks and a chain for pulling
the front clip under the passenger side headlight to the hood latch had been pushed in 4 inches and 2 inches down by previous owner..after getting it all together im about a 1/4 inch off on passenger side behind headlight..needs to come a little more forward, since the hood i have the lip is hanging over the passenger side fender the tiniest bit...BUT IM PICKY SO COME SUMMER THAT THE FIRST THING BEING ASSESED..
my buddy brent and I decided it would be a good idea since im already in for an aggressive tuck, to just go for it..
now my intentions with this car have changed..yes i will street drive it on occasion...aka nice summer days, the drag strip, car shows (when shes pretty) and of course..racin..
s0o having had already stripped the interior like no tommorow, I decided TO TAKE EVERYTHING OUT FROM UNDER THE DASH..there is no heater-core, a/c functions the wiring for the a/c-heat has been deeloomed from the harness..
at this point i am left with engine functions, taillights headlights, turn signals and the plug in for the dash lights.
THINGS I HAVE REMOVED FROM THE HARNESS: abs in full throughout the entire car from behind the gas tank to the pump to the ecu..no a/c wiring from pump to function on the dash.. no overhead headliner light, no seatbelt warning wiring, or overhead seatbelt wiring..
I am leaving the sunroof functional and untill i find crank doors, power windows are staying..
I also started chipping away at the rest of the deadening..not the black deadening behind the dash..that **** is gone already..Im talking deadning behind the rear hubs under the seat, the trunk, the floor pans, every nut bolt and platic tie for the harness has been removed..shes as bear as she can get..
my spare car has the 40/40 prop valve i need to finish my breaks for my removal of the abs in whole..
plans for summer: finish the breaks, new lines from the master to the prop valve.. I am locating the prop valve inside the car rather than in the bay...my bay will be bare i promise.. i will be doing new lines from calipers up front to the prop valve etc etc..thats to come
the engine bay: I will be looping the power steering asap in May, brakes will be settled and ull see a couple inches of line from the master lol..
I painted the bay factory red..its bright,,but it seems it will get dirty..OPINIONS??? been thinking about painting it gloss black..
along with that I will be dropping the gas tank..yes it is full..no im not putting in a 255 walboro intank..RATHER I AM DROPPING THE TANK and ditching the stock fuel system..yes im raping this car and I love it..
I will be running a 400lph in-line pump in the trunk with a fuel cell and new lines...now will i run rubber or braided..$$ will determine that..
so that means there will be no stock fuel lines hanging from inside the bay..
along with that I will be shaving off all un-neccessary brackets within the bay..since my dash will be hollow as it is..yes im going to find a way to not make my dash rattle..ideas are brewing for that..
traction bar will be next to get installed..
AND FOR THE REAL WORK OF THE SUMMER... WINDOW REMOVAL.. both doors will be off.. front windshiled is cracked (THAT WILL BE FUN TO REMOVE)
hatch will come off and side window will come out...
BY THIS TIME HOPEFULLY AROUND JULY I WILL BE ON TIME, BENDING TUBING, MEASURING,RE-MEASURING, WELING,GRINDING, ETC ETC.. a cage will be in the car...and yes this 90 da9 will look like a rat box for a little till i decide to paint it...WHICH IS LAST ON THE LIST.

along with that I will be shaving off all un-neccessary brackets within the bay..since my dash will be hollow as it is..yes im going to find a way to not make my dash rattle..ideas are brewing for that..
traction bar will be next to get installed..
AND FOR THE REAL WORK OF THE SUMMER... WINDOW REMOVAL.. both doors will be off.. front windshiled is cracked (THAT WILL BE FUN TO REMOVE)
hatch will come off and side window will come out...
BY THIS TIME HOPEFULLY AROUND JULY I WILL BE ON TIME, BENDING TUBING, MEASURING,RE-MEASURING, WELING,GRINDING, ETC ETC.. a cage will be in the car...and yes this 90 da9 will look like a rat box for a little till i decide to paint it...WHICH IS LAST ON THE LIST.

and the bay painted..possibly going black..needs another sanding and coat then clear..this was just first coat and my black fender 10 dollar find..no rust..old one was banged up..will be painted with car later..

AND YES I HAVE SOME METAL WORK TO DO ON THE BODY..but...one day..in like 2 years lol shell be rolling out of the paint booth nicer than she was at the factory with a cage ready for the engine..lol

thanks bro, will be starting my partout on the other car msy 15th..uve got dibs if its small items if ya need anything.
partout, cage, sound dedning and brakes are main priority along with the bay for things to get done this summer and updated on.
