My Compression Test Results, Your Opinions...
Yesterday I did a compression test on my LS/VTEC w/ USDM ITR pistons... The set-up is as follows:
B18A w/ USDM ITR Pistons; GSR Water/Oil Pump
GSR Head that's been milled... (Not sure how much though)
The #'s from Cylinder 4 to 1
#4-275
#3-275
#2-275
#1-245
Cylinder #1 would've pulled more compression had I continued to crank it, but it made 245 on the same amount of cranks as the other three made 275... What do you think...? Opinions welcome...

Dustin did you do it only once, thats wierd, although # is lower the #'s still seem good. Although that much difference in Cyl #1 would make me go
Have you dynoed it while everything was 100% yet?

D,
That seems like they are still good numbers as iggy said but baffling cylinder 1 is that low. Iggy jeremy and i did a comp test about a week before we swaped and all was good. I think cylinder 1 was off by like 5-10 but now its off by 30?? WTF. Let me know what you find out! Just to throw my two cents in...the motor was on bottle and cylinder #1 would have the most nitrous introduced being it was a dry setup through the intake?? Could it cause a breakdown after a period of time because of that?? What has it been like 3-4 months since its been sprayed??

sounds like the rings are a little worn on number one.
Do this, retry the test on number 1, and let it crank until it doesnt go up any higher.

I thought you were supposed to crank until it goes no higher... Usually I have to crank different times for each cylinder to get a good reading. It will eventually hit a point where it will stop and go no higher.
