i'm also not trying to go broke in the process..
i have priced superchargers and they all seem to be around 2500.00 for starters
and it only brings you up to about 190 hp.

if you piece together your own turbo setup it's pretty affordable. a lot more hp per $ than the na route.

Ive spent well over 2000$ on my gsr doing the na route. and just under 1000 for my 1.5l crx with fi. the crx is just as fast as my gsr.

They probably will, and its a shame. Ls owners should be proud of their cars, it dosen't have vtec but it's still a good car and does have potential.

please explain why... im gonna have to disagree

Re: (DRAG lll INTEGRA)
i was just stating that for his situation. As i read it back, i see that i typed what i was thinking wrong. He already has an ls tranny, it wouldn't be worth the cost of getting a gsr tranny. That is unless he has alot of money for this project. Otherwise there are more cost effective ways to get power.

Re: (95integralshere)
The ls engine itself isn't any better for turbo, compression ratio set aside. The longer gearing of the tranny is better though. With a turbo you create a wider more useful powerband, therefor longer gearing would be more suited. Thats the same reason a lot of faster V8s run powerglide trannys. They have such a broad torque curve they can use only 2 gears and get away with it. Although I don't think you were asking me to explain haha.

Re: (95integralshere)
ls power lies in a ported head, whether its na or fi. start there. if you wanna go boost find some cams you think might work for both and run those. im doing this and i chose rm L21 regrinds. im na now and will booost the same motor later on. the compression could be increased with a thinner headgasket to boost na power. highly recommend a better tranny than the ls tranny. you will be faster with that na or fi. im using a close ratio b series tranny with a 4.26 final drive so i get the benefit of the longer gearing of the ls without the loose *** gearing. you are going to be faster with the close gearing.
