ls to itr or F20c
I'm doing research on an engine+tranny swap for my 94 ls. one site i've been checking prices on is hmotorsonline. which i've heard is a reputable company. I noticed the Honda S2000 (F20c) engine is less than the itr B18 by about $400. yet the s2000 has 40 more hp. Is there a logical reason for this? Or is the itr engine have more demand, and less available. Also, is it harder to swap in the F20c engine than the itr? thanks.

Im going to save you the flames and tell you right now. Your car is FRONT-wheel drive. S2000's are REAR wheel drive. Unless you mount the f20 sideways with custom mounts and a k-tranny you'd have to convert the car to rwd.

What is the main reason for wanting to get a swap i.e. high mileage, blown motor/tranny?? Why not just rebuild your ls for turbo. Unless you want vtec just buy a vtec head and make it ls/vtec. There are many other options, just search around and find what would best suit your situation and needs

I agree with all of the above posts. To further answer you questions, the ITR motor costs more because it is in higher demand, and there were fewer of them made.

It would be very hard and expensive to put a F20C in your Integra. You would have to fabricate a mount kit not to mention that the F20C is made for a rwd car so there are going to be some major tranny issues. Just get the ITR motor it is a direct bolt in and you will actually be able to get the swap done with little or no help.

oh yeah, s2000 for the bling factor, maybe even a jdm one,
Oh, get some duals out the back too, it'll be perfect
btw.. ITR would be a swap, s2000 would be brain surgery.

Re: ls to itr or F20c (FlatBlackTeg)
I realize that the S2000 is rear wheel drive. I was asking why an engine with 40 more hp is $400 cheaper. Whether the car is rwd or fwd was never the question, cuz any engine can be put into a car with enough time and money. my tranny's in pretty good shape right now. so i might wait until it dies. then switch to a manual transmission, and either go turbo or get an engine swap.
