Low/no power steering assist
I recently did a timing belt and waterpump on the integra.
Saw that the power steering belt was cracking. Went ahead and
got a new belt at kragen. But now the belt squeek and has a burning smell.
Like a rubber burning. At cold start there is no power steering and belt
squeek.
At first I thought the belt was too loose so I went ahead and double checked today.
Power steering fluid is fine. There is no leak on the rack.
Squeek. Rubber burning smell. Little power steering when at u-turns/cold start.

Re: Low/no power steering assist (dc2doi)
The squeek sound is the belt slipping. Due to not being tight enough or just a little wet. When it is slipping its not pumping fluid, there for you dont have power steering.
So check to make sure it is the correct belt, or tighten it up,

Pretty much as tight as I can get it. The belt is burning so forsure due to slipping.
Im thinking of getting a smaller one and putting it on.
