Just put Uber in, Now my tach is goin crazy
So i just installed my uberdata ecu into my 2000 integra ls (using a obd conversion harness) Im only running I/E right now, so im just using the stock ls maps. After hooking everything up, car started up and ran like a dream first shot, no cel's went off or anything, but when i revved past 5k the tach would stop responding and drop down and then rise back up and just go all over the place, but the engine was still responding and acting and revving fine. So i switched back over to the original ecu and the tach was fine. WTF? Someone have an answer for me, PLEASE!

i purchased the ecu chipped and ready to go from a reputable guy on HMT, then purchased an obd2b-obd1 conversion harness offline, hooked it all up and turned it on. Like i said, i ran around with it all day today and it ran like a champ, nothing out of the ordinary, the only thing weird is the damn tach any time i rev over 5500 rpms. Im using 1.7

Re: (2000integrals)
ecu probably turn it over on the back and make sure there's no ..metel pieces touching other parts of the motherboard or other terminals on the back of the chip where its placed.. if it is.. just take a boxcutter or knife and scrap it off you wont hurt the motherboard.. however if there's nothing touching its probably just your tach going bad..

I'm using a P06 obd1, and i'm running uber so i dont have to spend crazy $$$ on hondata. Im boosting my car as soon as i get this ecu mess all figured out. I've got all parts other than the ecu, but since i got it in, i want to get it up and running nicely before i go installing my kit.

Yup, my 2000 LS has the same problem running a P75 and Uber. I'm curious to know if the OBD2 electronics in the distributor are the same as the OBD1 versions. I know they can be swapped etc., but there's got to be a good reason for it. I've never noticed this problem on pre OBD2 vehichles.

im run n uberdata in my 97 (OBD2) integra LS and i have NO problems at all with it. it will run fine with OBD2 cars with OBD2 dizzys. if i were u i would borrow a friends chipped ecu and put the uber chip in it and see if the problem still happens. if it doesnt, then send back the ecu to whom u buaght it from and get it replaced
