Intermittent ignition problem

Intermittent ignition problem
Every once in a while my car will hesitate to start. I will turn the key and a second later it will start. My aftermarket gauges will sometimes go back to blue which is what happens when the gauges loose power and reset. So it seems that it cuts off all power to the car for a split second before starting sometimes. And sometimes it just won't start at all. No clicking, the fuel pump just goes if I keep the key turned.
I have tested the starter and its fine. I have tested a brand new starter relay with no good results. New ignition switch with no good results. I have tested EVERYTHING and it all turns up fine when the car is starting fine.
Now when the car is being hesitant to start I had a mechanic test the voltage to the starter signal wire. It was getting weak voltage sometimes which would be why it wouldn't start.
I checked my grounds for resistance and none of them have any resistance.
I checked for voltage between the engine and chassis with the car on and I got nothing above .1 volts so it seems like the ground wires are doing their job!
I am out of ideas for what my problem is. Help??
Thanks for the help and sorry for the wall of text

Re: Intermittent ignition problem
(Palm to forehead) now I see it in your post. I read right over it the first time. Clean the battery terminals with an actual battery brush (inside the barrel) and the posts. I've had mine not start because of only slight corrosion on starter positive/battery ground leads. Fuel pump would come on, so there was enough amps for it. However, the amperage through corrosion was not enough to turn the starter. Unfortunately, replaced the starter and wasted money because it was just the leads needed cleaned... Also, make SURE to CLEAN chassis to trans, valvecover and harness to thermostat housing gregardless of the readings and coat them w/battery terminal protector to make them last longer. I hope this is more helpful...
