Default If you had 15g...

Ok heres my situation, im going to buy a new car soon..during summer. i was im stuck with a rsx types ( used low mileage ), integra type r, or integra ls

Now i want the type r for its performance, and handling..but i dont want it to be stolen the week after i buy it. i want to be able to drive this thing everywhere since its going to be my daily driver. ( mall, etc )

Rsx type s i want this car, because its newer, lower mileage, and i can be able to drive this thing around and dont have to worry about it. but i like the integra look better. im not sure how it handles compare to a type r since i've never been in it.

Or should i just buy a low mileage integra ls, and boost it? oem kit, etc? how well does a ls handle compare to a rsx type s?, or base model?

cross out type r.. since that thing won't last in a mall parking lot over 30mins.

As cool as the ITR is, the risks are just too great if you want to be able to drive it everywhere, including the mall, and still have it there when you get back. I would not want an ITR as my only car.

Besides, the RSX is the new hottness. I've seen tons of awesome-looking ones around here. Plus, the K20A powerplant has LOADS of potential that I know hasn't been fully exploited yet, but more and more advances are being made in the aftermarket.

Plus I think there are lots of suspension options for the RSX already.

And you gotta love having a 6-speed tranny.

But alas, if it were me, I would surely be doing an OEM HID projector retrofit. I can't believe they didn't offer HID projectors, or at least bring back projectors in general, on the newly redesigned 2005 RSX headlights. They look like they would accept an HID projector quite nicely.

Especially in Cali. In fact, all 3 of your choices pose a risk to being stolen. I remember a member that made a thread after his moms bone stock 96 LS auto was stolen. Then later on, his R was stolen.

When I was looking at buying my first car, I called a few insurance companies and asked what it would cost to insure each of the cars I liked. That's why I got an LS when I was 18 and not a vette, camaro, or even a GSR...

Of course State Farm did end up paying $7,000 when my LS was stolen...

It seems to me you could do plenty with the RSX in terms of suspension. And I don't believe it's nearly as high up on the most stolen lists. If you're considering an LS, you might as well look at a base RSX too...

i also vote rsx....just because of the 6th gear. You'll be able to cruise the flow of traffic these days without being in vtec! LOL Also, you dont have to worry about theft as much...YET

rs or ls with your choice of whatever motor and use the extra cash to build your own fake type r + lots of layers of security... pay insurance for a LS.. with the all the stuff u really want..

if u dont want ur car to be stolen.. dont advertise what u have in the car, excessively showoff/flaunt unless u want to become a target.. & always watch your mirrors for stalkers on ur way home... better safe than sorry.

Here's what I know.

From insurance highest price to lowest:
ITR
RSX TS = GSR
02 CIVIC SI

Also in MA, RSX don't get stolen that often. I know because I work at an insurance company, and check up on the claims often. I see mostly integras and civics. So, I say, just get the RSX TS. I would've got it, but didn't have enough money.

Exactly what he said, dont flaunt. If i were in your position and got a type r, i would just put money in my security such as a lojack and other anti theft. And i would actually take off the itr spoiler and type r stickers/emblems that most obviously distinguish the itr from other integras.

Get the new RSX...that car is tight, especially with the new look for the headlights and all...plus the 6 speed transmission is loads of fun to drive...
