hey if u bought ITR cam for ur GSR then you should try to return it, cus it wont help at all and it actually be even weaker. Because back then i was researching on them Skunk2 cam and came across how they were testing a GSR engine by putting an ITR cams and DYNO the before and after, and it was really a dissapointment.

heh, that is definately not true about the ITR cams. You will see gains. In fact, the cams in addition to the exhaust, are some of the few items that make that 15hp power difference.
*Edit* As for the belt install... Make sure you loosened the tensioner bolt enough... if its already loose, just work it down and to the right to make it easier. I found it easier to start the belt at the bottom and then move up; but whatever works for you.

any info on just the ITR/CTR intake cam? I have an ITR intake cam and am still pondering whether to put it in or get in exhaust one too..

....
Get both the intake and exhaust cam
ctr/itr are the exact same for certain years and for a couple years the ctr's were ever so slightly more aggressive so basically they're the same thing.
As for the above post about how itr cams are "weaker"- that is riduculous. Lift and duration are both more aggressive. If you just throw the cams in without any sort of tuning or parts, then yes-maybe you wont gain too much. Intake manifold with the cams will be a great combo.. Also look into or researc a vafc, fpr, fuel rail--and tuning

ACTUALLY i had seen that article in i believe superstreet where tehy put in ITR cams and lost 3whp.... dont know how they did it , but they did. BUT if you read into it, they dyno'd on diff days and on different dynos, so that could be the whole difference right there.

Stick with the itr cams if your planning on keeping the compression stock, yes the skunks will yeild more hp if tuned thats no question about it, but if you look at dynos itr/ctr owns on midrange.

why? the 00-01 ITR cams have almost if not identical specs as the CTR cams.
