need help on fixing 95 integra ignition switch car was stolen i got it back now i have to repair the box and tumble
will strat up just need to know what to replace

I had to fix the ignition switch on my 92, I'm 16 and I did it just fine, buy a haynes manual and it basically tells you all you need to know about it.

you can weld the ignition back together but it's aluminum, so you have to find somebody that knows what they're doing. otherwise, just look at it, see what's broken, and replace it. it's really that simple.

its the tumble that i have to fix does any one know how to take of the bolts that lock in the tumble

I'm assuming you're referring to the bolts that hold the tumbler on the steering column? The ones that have no hex or slots to apply a tool?

Use a sharp punch and hammer and lightly hit the bolts off center so they turn in a clockwise direction. Once you get them loose you can remove them by hand.

Tighten the new bolts until the heads twist off. If you're inclined, before you install the new lock you can send it out to a locksmith and they can re-key it to match your old key.

thanx that what i was asking about the re-key just take the tumble to the locksmith and they fit it to my old key cool thats what i'll do

Use a dremel and cut a groove that you can turn with a screwdriver. Luckily they aren't in there very tight.

I've heard that some have a shape cut into them and then filled with solder. So you could desolder them if that's the case.

Yes you can I bought a whole new lock cylinder from acura 2 years ago was 600$ not the cheapest buy not too bad imo.

You can save a bunch of money buying a refurbished unit off RockAuto.

I got a used one from hmotors haven't had a problem with it. They usually have some on their site or just call.
