Default How do I adjust the high beams?

I know how to aim the low beams. Turn the 8mm nut. I looked at the PDF of the manual and i tried what it said to no avail. There are two adjusting nuts on the high beam lights just like the low beams, but when i turn them nothing happens.

8mm nut? What 8mm nut?

Page 23-162 of the shop manual says you stick a Phillips screwdriver into the holes indicated and turn the toothed wheels. There's no separate high/low adjustment.

Plus, you adjust the LOW beams. The highs are tied to the lows and end up where they end up once the lows are adjusted.

No. Thats how you do it in a civic. Not an integra, the high and low beams reside in separate housings. The low beams were adjusted last night by rotating the 8mm nuts on the back of the lights. The high beams are adjusted separately and im trying to aim them higher.

<blink> What?

Those "housings" are a single assembly, adjusted as a unit. You have got to be a troll. Or you're nuts. Or I'm nuts for replying to a "crazy" post.

So the whole assembly gets adjusted as one? Then why are there two 8mm adjusting nuts on the high beam spot behind the housing just like on the low beam?

You have the factory manual? Then go look at page 23-162.

There are no nuts mentioned on page 23-162.

I don't believe you actually have the factory manual. I think you're just making it up that you do.

I can say anything I want to you, you potty-mouth.

Here's page 23-162. I dare you to find me the "8mm nut".

That doesn't appear to be a OEM headlight housing.

I agree.

JDM, maybe? Or cheapo aftermarket crash replacement?

I wonder what the text says that's raised out of the black plastic next to the bulb? And does the lens or housing say "Stanley" anywhere on it?

Why didn't you say so in the first place?

I'm inclined to call you an idiot for misleading everybody this way; but I'm not that kind of guy, so I won't call you an idiot.

Now maybe give a brand and model number and maybe somebody can help you.
