Default hondabond necccesary for valve cover gasket?

i plan on doing a valve adjustment, someone said it is a good idea to replace the valve cover gasket, and im going to do that. do i need to apply honda bond on the gasket?

its recommened that u use honda bond. its a good idea to use if u dont have honda bond hi temp silcone is ok too

You don't have to use it .. It's mostly recommended for the sides of the cams anyways.

But if you clean the surface properly, it works fine, and if it's not the First vc gasket,
you can normally reuse them if they look to be in good shape.

You only need to put some in the corners where the cam caps arch over, you are not supposed to need to put it anywhere else(as per recommended procedure by Honda). You need to clean the mating surface on the head and there should be no reason why the gasket will leak.
