gas smell in the car

gas smell in the car
it smells gas in my car whenever i drive it.
i don't smell anything in the engine bay, mostly in the car and outside.
i check the fuel line and all seems to be good and no leak.
my catalytic converter is finished however. could that cause this smell of gas in my car?

CHECK AROUND THE INJECTORS..HAVE SOMEONE TURN THE SWITCH ON AND WATCH TO SEE IF GAS LEAKS FROM AROUND ANY OF THE INJECTORS...GOOD LUCK

i'll check it again but didn't notice anything leaking.
btw, i never fill the gas to max.. so overfilling is not it.
my only guess is catalytic converter but then again, im not sure..

Has anyone drilled near the tank area in the backseat to install a sound system for example?
On my last car that was exactly what happened. The previous owner drilled into the tank creating a small hole which would fill up the cabin with gas fumes.
Pull the tank down and check it for holes.
