Re: (GS-Rdriven)
I'm averaging about 300 miles on 10 gallons of 92 octane. I have an untuned set of cams, exhaust, and intake, and hit redline at least once a day. My idle is all messed up as well, and I think my O2 sensor is bad. I guess I'm fortunate
I find that I get the best gas mileage when I keep my RPMs above 2.5K and below 3.5K. Below 2.5K in my car, it feels like my motor works too hard, so it's not always a good idea to be in the highest gear possible.

around 300 miles.
my mechanic added an oil suppliment and now i get around 320 when the light coems on.
all stock shift around 3500. redline ~once a day comin on the freeway after work. (keeps the cobwebs off the VTEC)
all stock.

Re: GAS MILEAGE (Gerbilo)
I think i hit a new record for myself. 352 miles on this tank, and thats with 4 1st-4th gear WOT vtec runs and a cel (exhaust leak). I did not know EM1's were capable of this good of mileage, maybe it was some extra good gas or something

hahaha damn.. I changed my spark plugs then my fuel filter then two bottles of fuel injector cleaners. improved my mileage 150 for half tank then put on an exhaust and kept redlineing it so its evened out at 250

Re: GAS MILEAGE (iixer0ii)
Probably due for a tune up. Try some fuel injector cleaner, swapping plugs, wires, distributor cap & rotor. Before my tuneup, I was getting around 220-240 on a full tank. Now I know that my gas mileage is better because I'm at 200 miles and still have 1/3 tank left.

Hm well I did do my spark plugs already, I need to get some new wires though. Dis and rotor probably need new. Now the fuel injection cleaner should I get them professionaly flushed/cleaned at a mechanics or just run that stuff through my gas tank?

I get 38-40 mpg with A/C on, best is 470 mi. on 10.9 gallons,
with mostly freeway driving
my settings:
AEM v2 cold air
GReddy Evo 2
Mobil 1 synthetic 10w30 (oil changed religiously every 2800 mi)
NGK spark plugs (5ZFR5F-11)
New distributor rotor and cap
New fuel filter (lotsa mpg there)
Regular valve adjustments (every 3 oil changes)
All of these gave me a little more mpg and what feels like 12-18 hp over stock The biggest difference (about 4 mpg) came when i dumped it 3" on ground controls, and i think this is because i have 3.5% of negative camber, so im only
riding on the inside edge of the tire instead of the whole thing. Once i get my
camber kit in the mail my mpg will probably drop a bit because of the increase
in friction
Oh and im obsessive at the pump, first i only buy gas at chevron or shell
stations, and the newer it is the better (new stations dont have all kinds of
sludge built up in the tanks) then i check all the meters on each pump that say how many gallons of gas each one has pumped out, then choose the one that
has the least. If the pump is slow, the filters are dirty, and dirty filters mean
bad gas. Pump elsewhere next time.
I work for a private shop in the Bay Area called W.C. Autopros
We only work on Honda/Acura, and we work on each car as if it was our own.
(Not an advertisement, just proud of where i work)
