Fixed overflow boiling problem..Now car still overheats???!!
Ok, So after two weeks of tryin everything, i ended up goin get a new Radiator / Radiator cap..
Double checked all my hoses and everything..Made sure everything was good, and tight and ya..all that bullshit..
So i filled it up this morning, to the rim, put the cap on and went for a drive..got on it alittle bit..hit vtec a few times and i noticed the gauge goin up again...i was like What in the expletive dude..i lift my hood to the amazement of no coolent leaking..overflow tank isn't bubbling..Fucken awesome..i fixed one problem now another one starts.. The guage holds steady at right in the middle....My fan isn't on..either..Then all of a sudden it turns on for roughly 20 seconds, then stops..The needle didn't move within the time frame it was on, and it did it again..I turn the car off. I double check everything.
All the hoses are tight and not leaking..the radiator is still full of fluid, i even did the pressure release, where i undid the nut and filled up the radiator until fluid came out from the nut to make sure there was no air bubbles..The car Runs Fine until i hit vtec or bring it to redline, then the temp starts to go up..I've already JUST replaced the themostat last week..This fan was running perfectly on the last radiator.. whats the deal??
Should i
A)Put the old themostat back in
B)Wire the radiator fan to be on all the time when the car is running
C) any input..
I at first thought it was a HG, its not as it seems, the same symtoms showed by a blown HG could be a radiator cap as well which in this case it was,..the radiator neck was just so wore down it wasn't allowing for a proper seal with the cap..so why is my temp still goin up..pissing me off..
