ECU ?'S HONDA TECH HELP?
Alright I am in need of some advice, I have a 2000 gsr with a mild build and some stock exhaust parts, and I have an obd1 P72 ecu stock computer. Part number is 37820-P72-A01 ecu. I am looking to go back to the original ecu part number 37820-P72-A04.
Now with that said do I need to find the OBD2 ECU with the same keys and ignition because the immobilzer with activate and ill be screwed? Or is it plug and play?

Yes i have a obd1 harness and a 1994-95 ecu but I want to go back to the obd2 ecu for emissions **** so I can hook it all up again and with the obd2 I can use the scan tool also. I was told when I go back to the obd2 ecu It will have a immobilizer and I will need the keys that it is coded to? anyone have similar problems with that or is it plug and play, I dont want to waste time buying an obd 2 ecu and then it doesn't work...

the question is do you have a conversion harness from obd2b to obd1? or did they rewire your ecu to run obd1? like i said if the harness is there just remove it and plug your obd2 ecu back in. its all plug in play. just make sure everything mates up
