Default Cv axle

So I changed out my driver side cv axle no problem. I was starting to remove the passenger side axle and the damn castle nut decides to be a PITA. I tried and tried and tried to loosen it but I'm sure it's seized.

Anyway, I read online I can just remove the lower control arm and I should be able to move parts aside to remove the axle.

Can anyone confirm this? I'm attacking this once I get off work at 1:30. Thanks!

the UCA/Tiered is easier imo vs the lca/sway bar stuff. which nut is it, the lower ball joint or upper ?

Thanks for the quick reply. So removing the UCA is easier for you? The lower ball one. That **** is stuck. Literally. Cheater bar and all. Still no budge.

yes it's higher up thus not subject to as much road slim etc, the tierod end should be undone to then you can remove the cv.

I have no idea what you mean by road slim? Damn. So I must remove the outer tie rod too? While searching I read that people would just remove the UCA and boom. I just want to swap the axle so then I can take it to my mechanic where we can take that damn castle nut off.

crap on the road brake dust run your finger on the bottom of the car you'll know what I mean. just the nut that holds it to the spindle(tierod) but may not be necessary.

Oh, haha. I probably would have understood road slime or something like that. But okay, cool. I'll remove the UCA and see if that'll be enough. Thanks for the help man.

I'm trying to remove the UCA but on the right side, it's a bit hard to reach the nut. How exactly do I remove this? Do I have to loosen the bolts from the engine bay?

Now both axles are changed. No more clicking or clunking sounds. However, driver side seems to be making a grinding noise maybe? Like a metal hitting another metal. I checked the rotor shield and it isn't hitting anything. What can it be?
