could use someone elses opinion on this
alright so i have a 94 integra ls non vtec b18b1 with a GSR tranny and I am not sure if I should go all out and rebuild the whole motor or just throw a turbo and what not on there and money is a little short so if i did the whole motor it would be a project. But the whole goal of my life right now is to be able to beat this turbo wrx thanks for the help:D

If it were me.. I would do a compression test on the motor to see the engines condition..
Then if it pass's the compression test i would slap the turbo kit on it buy a wideband.. Run maybe around 10-12lbs.. Find a good reputable tuner..
Then go bust the wrx's *** (depending on the mods done to the wrx)

If you know how to pull spark plugs out you should be able to do it..
Go to the parts store buy a compression tester...
Pull your plugs out, screw in the compression tester.. Make sure you undo the connectors on the distributor or pull the ecu fuse under the hood..
Hold the throttle down and crank the engine over.. Make sure someone is standing there with the gauge.. I always crank the car untill the gauge doesn't read any higher.. (some people might have a different opinion on this) and post the results of each cylinder.
Does the engine burn any oil.. smoke?
You can put a VTEC head on the LS very easily, but you might not need it if your goal is to beat a wrx.. Is it stock.. mods??

You should only have one fuel rail and only one fuel pressure gauge
Is the car tuned right now? How much boost are you running?
Also since your new i suggest reading the forum rules.

Yeah i meant fuel rail as in singular my bad but yeah i just tuned it but i don't have a turbo so no boost right now but yeah i read the rules twice already (sorry if im breakin any rules ) the air to fuel ratio gauge is just sittin in there doing absolutely nothing

Re: (Jimmy)
Just put a V-8 in it! haha KIDDING. um its hard to say but I do know that a GSR isn't going to beat a WRX =[ but a turbo certainly could! I would check the engine's health, then do the turbo. Eventually get a VTEC head to make the most of your engine/transmission setup.
