Re: car starts but overheat
Where at on the head? If its near a radiator hose, check and make sure there are no leaks. If there are no leaks, it could also be an air bubble. To fix that, take the radiator cap off and let it run for a few minutes in order to cycle. Make sure your fan is running as well. If those don't work it's probably your water pump. If it is the water pump it should only overheat when the car is still, when you drive it I believe the temp should go back down to normal.

Re: car starts but overheat
If it was a blown head gasket you would have white smoke coming out of your exhaust pipe and the car would just run like ****. If you have to drive it to your destination I'd say run with the heater full blast and pull out the thermostat (it may help). If it still overheats dont drive it. But do these steps before you diagnose a blown head gasket:
-Make sure theres coolant obviously lol
-check the thermostat (let me know if you dont know how but its easy)
-Make sure its running off all 4 cylinders
-check for any leaks (waterpump,radiator,etc..)
-make sure valve cover gasket is down tight
-do a radiator flush and fill it back up
If it still overheats then ****... SWAP THE MOTOR!! haha
Im sure you know this stuff but i dunno im just adding my
.2 cents.. goodluck

Don't buy it unless you know what the problem is. If you bought the car already then do what is needed to be done. Buy my gsr swap..rebuilt OEM stock/ITR pistons/cams/0 mile/wreck my DC. Pm me.
