Re: Car clicking but not starting
no go guys.
sorry to be rude but do you guys not see that i said my battery wires are melting. It has nothing to do with the tps or anything with the intake manifold.
wastedyouth- i tried sanding them and connecting, no go. I think i have a majour electrical problem.
thanks anyways.

I really don't know how you were driving around without the TPS not plugged in or even throwing a code...
Take the starter and the battery out and take them to autozone and have them test both, it's as easy as that.
If they both work, then take it to a shop because you have bigger problems...
The lights inside the cabin draw very little off of the battery, unlike your starter. Just because the lights inside work could still mean the battery is dead.

Re: Car clicking but not starting
no the tps was always plugged in. my bad guys
the battery is brand new. I took my starter out and tested it. no go
so i tested my other starter. no go either.
So i was doing it wrong or my jumper cables were messed. because they are all rusted and ripped

Re: Car clicking but not starting
sounds like you got your cables crossed or somthin, like your power cable is grounded on the starter or somthing.
you may also want to replace your negitive cable, depending on how bad its melded.

Re: Car clicking but not starting
the only thing thatll melt a wire that thick is one of the cables directly off the battery going to the wrong place, which wire and when it happens is somthing only you can tell us.

Re: Car clicking but not starting
ill check it out. maybe there is a sensor in the back of the block that is plugged in wrong. because the b18b1 only has one inlet for a sensor. and the b18a1 has two. so i have 1 leftover plug.

i wouldnt change any parts until you stop melting wires, else those parts you replace may go back again right away.

Bad idea. The longer you drive like that, the more you risk increasing the problem and/or causing a new one. You need to take that battery out and trace your wires to some sort of a conclusion, which is most likely a fray in the wire, touching the body somewhere.

Eff, I forgot, you don't have the super rare steam-powered JDM b series? Haha. I assume you've traced the negative wire for damage and found nothing, correct?
