Default ca smog question

okay so my question is whats the most power you can have on your teg and still be able to pass the smog test?

ummm.. there isn't a restriction for power to pass smog. it's based on emissions.

its depends on your emmission system, i seen turbo cars still pass even its producing 500+hp

i have a smog question..... i took the smog test and my car passed most tests but the paperwork reads in the last box at the bottom thats titled NO(ppm) the max was 487 and my MEAS was 809 so i failed... any one know what that means? please help need to get my car to pass asap!

only if its a greddy or edelbrock turbo kit

it means you failed for NOx emissions 487ppm is the max you can emit to pass you measured at 809ppm beyond the max.

go to walmart and buy a gallon of alcohol and when youre close to E add it to your tank and drive for 10 minutes on the freeway to get your cat warmed up, if you have one.

They probably won't even put it on the dyno if they see turbos and a bunch of mods without a CARB sticker. Even if they look the other way on that part, you still have to be below the readings which is not easy even for a stock GSR. I have a 100% stock '95 GSR with 170k and new cat and I barely passed. The O2 sensor was bad though and the valve lash was out of spec.

Pass the test first on a stock teg, then mod it and enjoy it for 2 years before you have to SMOG again

the only way to pass for sure is to know people who smog if you know what i mean
